How MECHAFOLIO works

Hold $FOLIO, pilot a mech, collect real tokenized stocks. Everything below is how the contracts and the server actually behave.

What it is

MECHAFOLIO is a game on Robinhood Chain. Every wallet that holds $FOLIO pilots a giant mech. The mech has eight parts, and each part is filled with a real tokenized stock issued on Robinhood Chain: NVIDIA, Tesla, SpaceX, a US Treasury bill ETF, Apple, Meta, Strategy and Microsoft.

Trading fees from $FOLIO buy those stocks every hour. Each day the stocks are split between pilots, and pilots claim them straight to their wallet. Every evening the mechs duel, and how hard each part hits depends on how its stock moved that day.

Your frame

Your share of the $FOLIO supply sets your frame class and height. Bigger frames take a bigger part of each day's split, in proportion to what you hold.

ClassShare of supplyHeight
Scoutbelow 0.05%11.2 m
Striker0.05% and up13.3 m
Brawler0.2% and up15.5 m
Titan0.5% and up18.0 m
Colossus1% and up20.9 m

To count as a pilot you need at least 1,000 $FOLIO held through a full UTC day.

Parts are real stocks

Each part is one stock token on Robinhood Chain. These are third-party tokens issued by Robinhood; MECHAFOLIO only buys them on Uniswap and passes them on.

PartStockRole in a duel
The issuer's token contract can pause all transfers and can block specific addresses. If that happens, the affected part simply waits: the rest of your claim still goes through, and the waiting part can be claimed once transfers resume.

Loadout

Your loadout says how your share of each day's buys is spread across the eight stocks. The default is equal. Change it in the Hangar by moving the sliders and signing a message with your wallet. Signing is free: no transaction, no gas.

The engine buys stocks in the proportions that all pilots asked for, weighted by how much each pilot holds. Your loadout also decides which parts hit hardest in the Arena.

Fees → stocks

  1. Every $FOLIO buy and sell on Pons pays a 3% creator tax. The creator share of Pons' own 1% base fee comes along with it. Both go to the FolioEngine contract, not to a team wallet.
  2. About once an hour a keeper calls harvest(). The engine pulls the fees from Pons, sends 5% to operations (capped at 10% in the contract), and swaps the rest on Uniswap v3 into the eight stocks.
  3. The stocks go straight from the pool to the FolioDistributor contract. They never pass through a team wallet.

If one stock can't be bought at a fair price (or its token is paused), that slot is skipped and its ETH waits for the next harvest. The other seven are still bought.

Daily split

Each UTC day closes at 00:00 UTC. The stocks bought since the last split are shared out:

  • 90% to pilots, by weight. Your weight is the lowest $FOLIO balance you held during the day, so buying in for an hour and leaving does nothing.
  • Streak bonus: +5% weight for every day in a row you stay a pilot, up to +50%.
  • Whale cap: one wallet can take at most 10% of a day's split. Anything above the cap is not handed to others; it rolls into the next day.
  • 10% to the Arena champions of that day (see below). If no class had a champion, it rolls over too.

New wallets start counting on the first full day they hold.

Claiming

After each split the server publishes one Merkle root on chain, with the full list of every pilot's running total. The root waits 6 hours in public before it becomes claimable. During that window anyone can check the list (linked on the Ledger), and the owner can cancel a wrong root.

Then you press Claim in the Hangar. One transaction sends every stock you're owed to your wallet. Totals are cumulative, so you can claim daily, weekly or once a year. Nothing expires. Anyone can trigger a claim for any wallet; the stocks always go to that wallet.

The Arena

Every day at 20:00 UTC the mechs duel inside their own class. Each pilot fights up to three others. Free to enter, no wagers.

  • Each part's power is your loadout weight for it times that stock's 24-hour move ×10, held between ×0.5 and ×1.5.
  • Attack comes from the AI Core, Breaker Fist and Rail Cannon; power from the Reactor; speed from the Boosters; defense from Armor, Sensors and Actuators.
  • The match seed is the latest Robinhood Chain block hash at duel time, so anyone can replay every duel exactly.
  • The best record in each class (two or more pilots) is that class's champion. Champions share the day's 10% Arena pool.

Contracts & trust

Two contracts hold everything. Both are verified on the explorer and listed on the Ledger.

  • FolioEngine receives the fees and buys stocks. It has no function that sends ETH, WETH or stocks to any wallet. Swap routes must be official Uniswap v3 pools, checked on chain.
  • FolioDistributor holds the stocks and pays claims against the active root. A new root always waits out the public window.

What still needs trust: the server that computes each day's split and the keeper that harvests. Both are checkable: the full list for every day is public, and the rules on this page are applied the same way to everyone.

Risks

  • $FOLIO is a memecoin with no intrinsic value. Its price can fall to zero, and the stocks it buys depend on trading activity that can dry up.
  • Stock tokens are third-party assets. Their issuer can pause them, block addresses or change them under its own terms. MECHAFOLIO is not affiliated with Robinhood, Pons, Uniswap or any company named here.
  • Smart contracts can have bugs. The contracts are tested against a copy of the live chain, but they are not audited by a third party.
  • Nothing here is financial advice or an offer of securities. Check that holding these tokens is allowed where you live.

FAQ

Do I need to do anything every day?

No. Just hold. Your share is recorded every day and adds up until you claim.

What happens if I sell some $FOLIO?

That day counts on your lowest balance, and your streak resets if you drop below 1,000 $FOLIO. Anything already allocated to you stays yours.

Which wallets work?

Any wallet that supports Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663): MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom (turn on Robinhood Chain in Settings → Active Networks) and others.

Why are amounts so small at first?

Stocks are bought from fees, so early amounts follow early volume. A $1,000 trade pays about $30 in tax, which is split between all pilots.

Can the team take the stocks?

Not through the contracts: there is no withdraw function for stocks, ETH or WETH. The only way stocks leave is a claim against a public root.
